We’re a 10-minute drive from the city center with all its services and attractions, yet free of the fuss and light pollution – a prime spot for observing the Aurora Borealis and arctic nature.

Ollero Eco Lodge is an ideal stay for couples, families and small groups who want to experience Lapland and the peace and quiet of arctic nature in an environmentally friendly way.

A traditional Lapland cottage on the bank of the Ounasjoki river right outside the city of Rovaniemi, Ollero Eco Lodge is composed of three separate buildings (please see below for details).

Enjoy your privacy: when staying here, all three buildings are reserved only for you.

The large yard and nearby forest provide easy access to outdoor fun, whether exploring local nature, sledding or building snowmen tickles your fancy. Want to hunt for the Northern Lights? Just step out the door and you'll find yourself in a prime spot.

There are three toilets in Ollero Eco Lodge, one in the Main Lodge and two additional eco-toilets in the Glass Igloo and the Sleeping Cabin.

MAIN LODGE

Step inside and fall in love with authentic Lappish comfort. The Main Lodge is a relaxing place with a lounge, dining area and fully equipped kitchen with excellent food making facilities. The fireplace area is a wonderful spot to chill out in the evening after enjoying the smoke sauna. The Main Lodge has a fully renovated bathroom with a shower and toilet. GLASS IGLOO

Spend the night under a million stars in the warm comfort of your bed. The modern one-room Glass Igloo lies right by the Ounasjoki river, and its window wall provides a panorama view over the river and the northern sky. SLEEPING CABIN

The Sleeping Cabin is a spacious and cosy, authentically Lappish two-bedroom building. Kitchen is well-equipped.

Yard description

Feel free to make a campfire in our Lappish tepee. Firewood is underneath the seat. Make sure the fire is out and tepee left as it was before leaving the tepee. During winter time we also have our own sledding hill for children to play.

Ollero Eco Lodge is an ideal spot for chasing Northern Lights or midnight sun as well as for other seasonal and local activities, such as ice fishing, snowshoeing, sledding hill, traditional smoke sauna and open fire cooking. Driving instructions

Ollero Eco Lodge is easy to access by a car or a taxi. It has a private parking area by the entrance at the yard. Also, taxis are allowed to drive to the yard. During the summertime and the autumn, Ollero Eco Lodge is convenient to access by a bicycle. It’s only a 30 min bike ride to the city center.
